Inspected the exterior wiring and found an outdoor outlet near the door where the weatherproof cover had cracked and allowed moisture into the box, degrading the insulation on the hot wire and creating a path to ground through the door frame. Replaced the outlet with a new GFCI-protected weatherproof unit, properly sealed the box, and tested for stray voltage on all exterior metal surfaces to confirm the issue was fully resolved. Not something you want to leave alone heading into the wettest stretch of summer.
