Performed a full plumbing inspection due to a recent water main break approximately one mile away and to verify all plumbing systems in the area were functioning properly. During the inspection, I found the home’s water pressure was excessively high. Tested the pressure and recorded 110 PSI. Further inspection revealed a failed thermal expansion tank. Replaced the pressure reducing valve (PRV) and thermal expansion tank. After installation, retested the water pressure and confirmed it was operating at 58 PSI. Inspected the plumbing system for proper operation and verified all fixtures and components are functioning correctly. No issues found at this time.
